My influences come from the past, present and future. Traditional weaving and textiles have affected my work as much as the surge of digital photography and modernism. Pureness of the hard edge is disturbed by my hand and the physicality of the materials. Captured in my paintings is an abstract form of a digital memory. Places I have been and people I have met are all represented in my work. My paintings are an ever growing album of my life that can bring me in and out of time. I use whatever materials I have on hand, but will further explore oil paint on balsa wood and masonite. These materials let me consider the three dimensional planes of the wood as well as the texture of the paint itself.
